Opening and closing checklist builder

A 40-line checklist on the office door gets ticked from memory. Build one short list per station instead, and say for each line what proves it: a tick, a reading or a photo.

1. Which list?
2. Stations

One list per station, so one person owns it.

3. Lines that apply

Untick what you don't do. For each line, choose what proves it was done.

Your lists

Each station prints on its own page. To run them in an app with a name and a time on every tick, paste the text into a list in tick-tock-done: one task per line, photos on the task.

Why short lists by station

A checklist works when the person doing the job can finish it and someone could check it. One list per station gives each list one owner. Under a dozen lines keeps it finishable. A reading (the walk-in at 38°F) or a photo (the grill after cleaning) can't be given from memory the way a tick can.

The reasons, a template by station and the temperatures an inspector asks about are in Restaurant opening and closing checklists that actually get done. What makes a photo useful as proof is in Photo proof on tasks.

The lines here are a starting point we wrote, not your local health code. Check the temperatures and the rules that apply where you are.
