Connector for assistants
Use tick-tock-done in ChatGPT and Claude
Add tick-tock-done to your assistant once, sign in with the same email code, and ask in plain words: "what's my shift tomorrow", "who's on tonight", "add 'fryer filter' to the kitchen list for Sam", "tick the walk-in clean", "clock me in". The connector costs nothing extra, and every person in the crew connects with their own sign-in.
The connector address: https://ticktockdone.com/mcp
How to connect
- Claude (claude.ai and the Claude apps): in a chat, open the + menu, Connectors, then Add custom connector. Paste the address above, leave the advanced settings empty, and add it. Claude opens our sign-in page; sign in and press Allow. Custom connectors are in beta on every Claude plan; the Free plan allows one.
- ChatGPT: custom connectors are added in Settings, Apps and connectors, after turning on developer mode (a beta OpenAI offers on some paid plans, not the Free plan). Create a connector with the address above and OAuth sign-in, then sign in and press Allow. We'll ask to be listed in ChatGPT's apps once it has run for a while.
- Other apps that speak MCP (for example on your own computer) can use the same address: it signs in with OAuth and registers itself.
You need a tick-tock-done account first. Open the app and sign in with your email; a team's lists and shifts show up for everyone in it.
What it can do
Exactly what you can do in the app, never more: your own lists and the teams you're in, with your role in each.
| Tool | What it does | Changes anything? |
|---|---|---|
| list_spaces | Your own space and your teams, and your role in each. | No |
| list_tasks | Tasks in a list or a whole space: open or done, due before a day, only yours. | No |
| add_task | One task from a sentence ("fryer filter for Sam tomorrow 9am, urgent") or from fields, the same way Say a task reads it. | Adds a task |
| update_task | Tick or untick, change the status, the due date or who has it, add a comment. | Changes a task |
| get_shifts | Shifts for a day or a week, your next shift, open shifts. | No |
| who_is_on | Who is clocked in right now. | No |
| clock | Clock you in or out, start or end a break, at the server's time, like the app. | A clock tap |
| my_hours | Your hours for a week; owners and managers can ask for anyone's in their team. | No |
What it can't do
- Delete anything. The bin stays in the app.
- Plan or change shifts, or fix anyone's clock-ins.
- See photos or video on jobs.
- Anything you can't do yourself in the app: a member can't read other people's hours, and nobody reaches a team they aren't in.
Limits: 60 requests a minute and 2,000 a day for each person, and 20 new tasks a minute. If the free service gets busier than we planned for, the assistant is told to try again tomorrow; the app keeps working either way.
Your sign-in and your data
You sign in on ticktockdone.com with the same email code, Google or Apple sign-in as the app. The assistant gets its own key for your account, not your sign-in: it lasts an hour and is renewed while the assistant keeps using it; left unused for 30 days, it ends. We store only scrambled copies of those keys.
To stop an assistant, open the app's side menu, Connected assistants, and press Disconnect. It stops at once. Removing the connector in Claude or ChatGPT may not tell us, so disconnect here too.
What you ask the assistant, and what tick-tock-done answers, is also handled by Anthropic or OpenAI under their own terms.
Ask your assistant who's on tonight.
Sign in to the app first: your email, a code, and you're in.
